In 1984, Grand Rapids natives and friends Bill Quinn and Rick Schall purchased local Michigan Street haunt Pete Brown's Office.
On St. Patricks Day in 1985, a self-styled local group called The Fenians—many still beloved regulars—came to the pub, entertaining patrons with the songs, stories, and banter of Ireland, inspiring a love of the Fair Isle that persists to this day. While Pete Brown's Office reopened on Plainfield Avenue as a true Irish Pub, the name didn't change for almost 15 years.
Today, Quinn & Tuite's walls are adorned with posters, mirrors, and paintings full of the love of Ireland. We’ve been recognized for the finest poured pint of Guinness in MI and were named the 2014 best neighborhood bar in Grand Rapids. There’s always something going on, whether it's the Grand Rapids Sport & Social Club, a meeting of the GR AOH, or our annual Paddy’s Day celebration. Won’t you join us?
Owners Bill Quinn and Rick Schall took over the former Pete Brown's Office in the late '80s and have made Quinn and Tuite's one of the area's most successful bars… Quinn and Schall, owners of the bar, are likely some of the nicest business owners you could meet in the state.
